SealFoam® is a breakthrough hemostatic pad composed of AMP®  material, a patented technology that modifies purified plant starch into ultra-hydrophilic, adhesive forming hemostatic polymers. AMP® material has a molecular structure that rapidly absorbs water from blood, causing a high concentration of platelets, red blood cells and coagulation proteins (thrombin, fibrinogen etc.). This de-hydration process accelerates the normal clotting cascade and SealFoam® forms a gelled, adhesive matrix that provides a mechanical barrier to further bleeding. The ultra-hydrophilic and adhesive properties of SealFoam® are uniquely formulated to control bleeding and minimize the possibility of re-bleeding.

Absorbable Modified Polymer (AMP®) technology is a proprietary engineering process that modifies plant starch into ultra-hydrophilic, adhesive forming hemostatic polymers.

AMP® particles have a molecular structure that rapidly absorbs water from blood, causing a high concentration of platelets, red blood cells and coagulation proteins at the bleeding site, accelerating the physiologic clotting cascade.
